When you purchase a Tessera license, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the Tessera plugin on up to the number of distinct WordPress sites covered by your plan:
A "site" is a unique domain or subdomain running a unique WordPress installation. Localhost, staging, and development copies of a production site count as one site if they connect to the same license.
Your license includes one year of plugin updates and email support from the date of purchase. After one year, the plugin continues to work on activated sites but stops receiving updates unless you renew.
Tessera is licensed software under the GPL-2.0-or-later license (consistent with WordPress's licensing). You may modify the code for your own use; you may not redistribute modified versions under the Tessera name.
Licenses do not auto-renew. You'll receive a reminder email 30 days before expiry. Renewing within the grace period restores updates without interruption.

Violations may result in license revocation without refund.
If you enable AI Insights with your own API key, you are bound by the terms of the AI provider you choose (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq). We pass your API key from your WordPress install directly to that provider; we don't see or log your key.
The Tessera license server is hosted on Vercel and uses Neon for storage. If either has an outage:
Tessera is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will work for every form configuration or every WordPress hosting environment, though we test broadly and fix issues quickly when reported.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from Tessera is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
You may stop using Tessera at any time. We may terminate your license if you violate these terms; you would receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current year.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to active license holders 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of Tessera after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
